Lakeview Lodge was opened in 1984 on Lake Fork, one of Texas premier fisheries. Record bass, crappie, and catfish have been caught on Lake Fork. Lake Fork is home to some of the highest paying amateur tournaments, such as the Mega Bass, Big Bass Splash, Skeeter, Legend on Fork, Berkeley, and the 2020 Bass Master Classic. Major League fishing is also part of the Lake Fork scene. Catfish and Crappie Masters are also major events.

Lakeview Lodge, featuring waterfront property, went under new ownership in 2017. Lodging consists of standard motel rooms, cabins, and a main house for large groups. All accommodations have been remodeled with new furnishings. Lakeview Lodge has a private boat ramp for its guests. Daily, Weekly, and Annual RV sites are also available. Lakeview Lodge hosts many tournaments under the largest pavilion on Lake Fork, with seating for 250 people. The Pavilion contains a full kitchen available for private or corporate events. Lakeview Lodge does not have a bait shop or restaurant, but one is conveniently located just across the street.
